Red face How to add a new SCSI drive

I'm both new to the forum and Linux. I have an and Dell 2650, running Linux9. I need edto add a couple of SCSI drives. I did so, but not sure how to determine if are there. I need to make it drive one big partition, and nfs mount it. Do I sure the dmsg command? and what do I look for, and how do I nfs mount it to be available for use. I will be using it for oracle tablespaces. Thanks for you help in advance.

Be sure to set the SCSI IDs correctly. SCSI device IDs are sda, sdb etc.. etc.. If you are already using SCSI drives make sure the SCSI IDs are greater then the existing ones.
The OS will assign sda to the first recognized drive on the first recognized controller, sdb to the second and so on. dmesg will tell you if the drives are recognized by the OS.

Does the SCSI controller include RAID functions? You can either use a hardware RAID or software RAID i.e Logical Volume Management (LVM) to make the drives a single partition.

Then just add the drive to fstab and export as usual.
