How to activate in Fedora 5 ?

I installed Fedora 5 with GNOME. I am a newbie in Linux and Fedora 5 . WHen I installed Fedora, I supposed it would ask me which OS to boot , however, it didn't. Now, it only boots Fedora Linux 5 but no option for me to choose. How could I activiate LILO in Fedora 5 ?

Thank you for your kind attention.

I think, that default now in FC5 is grub boot loader, so you just need to edit /etc/grub.conf. You can find many examples on the internet.

to activate LILO, I think, you just need to run lilo. But I recommend grub.

On your next install before the disk partition setup (I think could be after I can't recall), Fedora Core 5 prompts you to install GRUB and set FC5 as defualt loader..... Make sure you pay attention to this next time... as for fixing the boot you would go here to configure the way you want it. /etc/grub.conf (Just like Leisy said) If you still have issues see this link:

Thank you for your reply. I don't know if I miss it or not. However, as I remember, FC5 didn't prompt me to install GRUB. Also, can you tell me a typcial way to do the above ?
I am a newbie and don't even know how to edit grub.conf and the command in vi .

Thank you very much !

Is there any chance you can re-install FC5? Haha I am still a newbie as well. I know that when you are installing FC5 it should have a check box for GRUB loader, TOP right corner and like I said I am sure its before the part where you setup the partitions or just after.....

As for the last part you would log in as root, then cd to the root folder, then cd to etc and then vi grub.conf .
