How to access the linux machine through vnc?

I have installed RHEL5 on my machine. I have set the Remote desk top option also. But my teammember is unable to access through VNC. I tried to set the VNC but in vain.

Anybody please help me in this regard...

By default install, it only listens on localhost; you'll have to amend the cfg

access machine through vnc

first stop the iptables using below command
/sbin/service iptables stop

Try this command to access your remote system:
vncviewer ipaddress or hostname

Try and enjoy...

For VNC you will need to open port 5900 (and maybe a few subsequent ports as well) on your Firewall. Otherwise the remote connection attempts want make it to your server.
