How to access my Galaxy S5 files from debian linux

Hi all!

I would like to create a data dump of my phone to run file recovery on it and the command needs an input file for my phone. In the past i have plugged in usbs and they show up under /dev/sdb but my phone is not there. It does not show up after i run fdisk -l but it is listed when i run lsusb. Where can I look to find my phone? (Also, I have my android phone set to MTP mode because usb 3.0 is completely not detected)

Thank you!

The S5 does not have a mass storage mode, just MTP or PTP. You can mount it using fuse via jmtpfs.
