How storedge disk array is attached
I have a storedge 3511 array attached to a centos 4 system and need to upgrade to redhat 5. 1) How can I find out how the array was attached to the system? and/or 2) What do I need to do during the install for the array to be recognized?

I'm not too sure of the SE3511 array but I've played with SE3003 and 3500 FC ones. The array its self should have a 9 pin serial port and a maintenance RJ45 port (If the controller is like the Fibre channel one or the SE3300 SCSI one)?
The array is set up in hardware so the host system should only see a logical volume or volumes depending on how you set it up. It'd probably be a Solaris type file system. I'd have to do a bit more digging to find out more info. Have you looked at it with GParted? Is the host system a Sun box? Play Bonny! :hattip: |
The host system is a sun box. It is a fiber connection. I have not looked at it with gparted yet. I will.
