most distros have a step during the installation of where to install. in your case, you should instruct it to format the whole drive and install.

if arch isnt like that for some reason, then i would boot up something like gparted live-usb and delete all the partitions and then run the arch installer.

The images you posted show you have 5 partitions with a windows installation currently using UEFI. Not sure how that will affect an installation of Arch as I've never used it. If you don't want windows any longer, you should select the option to Erase disk and install Arch or use the entire drive. Not sure if that will cause problems as you currently have an EFI partition so you might wait for someone more familiar with UEFI to post.

It might be easiest to just go into your BIOS settings and turn off UEFI and Secure Boot to save yourself a lot of trouble regardless of whether Arch supports it or not. Windows still works without it.

This site explains partitioning:
http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/gparted.html

But if you need information on how to partition, you should not use Arch. Arch is the only Linux that does not have an program to install it: you have to type in a series of instructions in the command line!

If you don't want to keep Windows, then it's better not to keep UEFI. The BIOS should let you replace UEFI Boot with Legacy Boot. Then you can run a Linux installer, wipe the disk, create new partitions, and install.

It is usually best to have separate partitions for /, swap, & /home.
(Sizes depend on how you intend on using your computer.)

If you are new to Linux, try running a 'live' distro on your machine to check that all hardware is supported.
(One such distro is AntiX MX - http://antix.mepis.com/index.php?title=Main_Page)

Do you have a wireless card? Also, did you install Arch after disabling UEFI, and if not, did Arch boot before disabling UEFI?
