How or where do I buy a wireless modem to access internet?

My wife bought a small Asus Eee PC Series notebook loaded with some Linux distribution.

QUESTION: How the heck do we connect to the internet?

For example, on my HP (MS Vista), I just bought a Verizion wireless modem and I plug it into my USB and I connect for a monthly fee.

But what do I do with her Linux notebook???

I am really baffled...

Thanks in advance!

If it came with Linux, and if it has a wireless modem in it, then it should be mostly configured, as is. I found this forum site that is dedicated to the eeepc. There are a lot of posts there, so you should have better luck than on a general Linux forum like LQ. I'm not trying to run you off; just help you get better answers for a neat but niche product.
