How much space is need for Partitions?

Just wanna ask anybody out there, how much space is needed for a Linux installation for the different partitions Linux need to create. Let say I want to create a webserver, ftp server and mail server unit in one. With tools for development. :D As I recall I need the [/ROOT], [/SWAP], [/BOOT], [/HOME], [/USR]/ . What about the rest? What will I do if I need to remove an installed package? :p Its easy to install but not that easy to remove:mad:
You can contact me at den_santiago@hotmail.com. Thanks everyone!!!!!  :D

For starters, it is bad manners to put your email address in the post. If people want to email you, then they can check out your details. If you want to know what people have to say, then you should make the effort to check back here and not rely on people to email you!

Anyhow, on with the answer: The choice is yours. It all depends on how your machine is set up and what you're gonna be doing with it. If you're gonna be using it as a mail server for lots of people, then you'll need a large /var and some people reckon you should put the most used partition in the middle of the disk since it is the fastest area. If you've got lots of RAM then you will probably get away with a small swap (which, BTW is not mounted on the main FSH so it doesn't have the preceeding /) I personally have not used more than 100Mb of my swap (I have 256Mb physical).
