quick question -> how much free space would you recommend i have befoe installing a new distro? something like red hat or Ubuntu, and use it along with the currently installed mint and vista . . .

Depends on what you want to do with it. I would at least give your self 20gb to work with.

Jesse W 10-09-2009 10:20 PM

haha so 60gb is enough then. ty for the replies

60GB is plenty. If you doing some intense gaming or video editing you may want more space. But for word process, internet browsing,.

i use mint 90% of the time and vista just when needed (like word processing, i cant stand open office, dont ask why because there is no logical reason). i was just looking at another distro to muck around with, and learn more about linux, as mint is the first distro ive used
