Smile how much mb in /boot required?


greetings


Lets say I have multiple boot (5 OS,either windows or linux),how much mb do i need in my /boot? If i increase my OS, do i also increase the mb in my /boot. OR can anyone give me recommendation?

if you have only *ONE* boot then you'll need about 5mb per Linux instance (for the kernel image). other operating systems require nothing. if you have a seperate /boot for each Linux instance, then again there is no extra requirement for space on the distro with the boot loader running.

The rule of thumb is about 150MB.
