you should read the readme file, there must be a installation instruction there...

if you want you can extract it first...

it doesn't install like a windows driver would, where you just
click on something.
you have to extract it
with tar zxvf <filename>
or a similar command, then read the documentation inside, and
it will tell you what to do. there should be a file called README
and a file called INSTALL.

isn't the command tar -xzvf <filename> ? Your forgot the - in the last post.

i didn't forget it. it works either way. though i'm most
capable of forgetting things like that, i didn't in this case.
tar is crazy like that.
