how install libXp.so.6

I try to start an application i just installed and get the message "libXp.so.6: no such file or directory.
So I searhed for where to get it and downloaded XFree86-libs-4.1.0-50.i386.rpm.

How do I install it?
Do I have to put the file somewhere specifically?

To install rpm files, use the rpm command. Most likely you need to run the following:
Code:
rpm -Ivh libwhatever.rpm
View the man page for rpm for more information (man rpm).

Cheers,

Josh

To add to my post though; what distribution are you using? Most likely you can install what you need from your distro's package manager.
