How I configure wich windows manager boot at startup?

Hi all,

I'm working in a simple configuration. I only need the MWM. I don't want gnome, kde, etc. I would like every time I reboot the machine it start with MWM. Where I choose that?.

Some body knows how to configure MWM, for example if I want to add aplictions to the popup window tha appears with mouse right click button?

Regards,

Enzo

Q: What distribution?

It _should_ be controlled via the file .xinitrc in your home directory. Editing that sgould get you the results you want. However do note that some of the userfriendlier distributions ignore this file, or just use a totally different fancy tool for setting it.

Thanks Artanicus,

The distribution is REDHAT 7.3. Is it the same file?

Now I'll look the file.

Enzo

Probably yes. How do you login to your machine, kdm, gdm?

On an unrerlated note, you _realy_ should consider upgrading. Redhat 7.3 is _realy_ old.. Try Whitebox linux if you wana go for the RHEL line or Fedora Core for the community RedHat line..
