how i check the system properties,
There are various ways. Depending on what distro and desktop you are running you may find some gui in the menus. Things can also be checked via the command line but, you'll need to be more specific about what you want to check.

Software is usually installed using your package manager. Which package manager you are using depends on which distro you are using.
You can find out what distro are you running with the following command.
Code:

lsb_release --all
If you have specific questions and searching on the web does not answer them, please feel free to ask here at LQ.

You can use "yum search" to look at what software is available and "yum install" to install specific software packages.

If you plan to ask further questions please tell us what distro you are using.
