how I can fix my mouse theme
Hello guys, this is my first post in this wonderful forum, I'm a SUSE user and also newbie, I need help in Gnome changing the mouse theme, is really difficult for me, because Gnome does not have a option to change the mouse theme, so u need to do it by yourself and I think I mess up eveything, I put the mouse theme in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons and change theme file for the theme that I want but does not work, I also try ~/.icons/default and does not work, all the time that logon in gnome is pop up a window saying that my mouse theme have like a problem, so guys how is the correct configuration for the mouse theme, here is my system specification:
SUSE 9.3 pro Gnome 2.10 Kernel 2.6.11 thanks! |
What theme are you using? Maybe the problem is indeed with the theme. I have the following layout:
~/.icons/default/index.theme ~/.icons/jimmac/cursors/* The index.theme file has the following entry: [Icon Theme] Inherits=jimmac This worked for me in every distribution that I've used. |
I prefer using the ~/.Xdefaults file. If I want to use the Industrial (Ximian) theme I simply add this to my ~/.Xdefaults file:
Code:
Xcursor.theme: Industrial |
Thanks guys I will see if I can fix it!! ;)
