how do you use .par files?

I've been downloading and putting multi part archives back together off of new groups with unrar x whatever.rar. I just downloaded a multi part archive and one of the parts is messed up but I also got a bunch of PAR files. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix the bad rar file with the par files?

http://parchive.sourceforge.net/

http://parchive.sourceforge.net/

get the software from them and then install depending on what type of Par archive you have(Par or Par2), its a simple command don't remember off the top of my head. but u can always use the man pages once install or a simple "--help" command.
