How do you turn off power saving

I asked this before but didn't get an answer that worked for me.

I have FC-5 and use KDE. My screen keeps going blank (off I think) after a few minutes of inactivity. I right click on the Desktop and then Configure Desktop>Display>Power Control. and uncheck the "Enable display power management" check box. But that seems to have no effect. My screen still goes off. Can someone put some light on this subject and maybe tell me what I need to do to disable this behavior?

Thanks,

royeo
