How do you find out what domains are hosted on a IP address.

I just started using linux for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I don't know if this is a are to post this thread so sorry in advance if its not.

I was surfing the web and came across a site called ipnear.com and a few others very similar to it. If you get the IP address of a website and type it in it will show you a list of other websites on that same IP. In some cases the lists contains several thousand domain names, but I do not think it is complete. I was curious if there was a linux command that could accomplish the same thing with a more complete list.

Any advice or input is appreciated.

ipnear.com seems to have a tool that parses domain name servers and stores the retrieved data in it' own database. Certainly possible to create such a tool for Linux, but I don't know of any free Linux tool that does this. A task like this belongs to the spying tool category - interesting to some, but not relevant for the majority.
