How do you connect to wireless with latest Ubuntu?

I just tried Ubuntu and it looks like they want you to type ip adress and choose signal type and other stuff, do I have use the manual system or is there auto-connect type I missed?

If there isn't auto-connect in ubuntu, what do I need to put in the boxes and wuts the signal type?

You should see a network manager icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it and it should show you a list of available networks, then click on the network to connect.
