How do you change what GUI is used in x-windows? I want to change from KDE to Gnome, but I have no idea how to. Thanks in advance.

need a little more info...what distro do you use? how do you log in?

Are you using SUSE 9.1 personal? I am a noob myself and I didn't know why I could only use KDE on Suse personal until I found out that it only comes with the KDE window manager. I am not sure about how if you are using any other distro but I think if you restart X-Window by pressing alt+backspace there should be options for other GUI's somewhere.

Hope that helped in some way

I'm using Slackware 10, and I currently log in through the shell rather than in the GUI itself, I usually start up the GUI with the startx command. I will try the alt+backspace thing once I reboot to Linux though (I'm currently in Windows XP, as I haven't set up my broadband connection on linux yet)
