How do you manipulate Multiple Desktops in Gnome

I have FC-5.

I've used both desktop environments, KDE and Gnome. In KDE it's easy to alter multiple desktops. I usually right click on the desktop but you can get to it in other ways too. In Gnome I couldn't find a way to alter multiple desktops any where. Can someone please tell me how to access multiple desktops in Gnome.

Thanks,

royeo

I am going to widely speculate that the OP wants to change the background in each desktop. This is a huge feature in KDE that many users like, but is sadly not available in Gnome. Or if it is, it's extremely well hidden

If you're after something that will allow you to have a different background on each Gnome desktop, download and install a small python app called Wallpapoz.

Read the instructions, it's pretty easy to use and can be set up to run itself every time you start Gnome. I have 4 Gnome desktops and each has it's own wallpaper. It can also be set up to rotate through desktop backgrounds on each one so that each one changes to a different image at a preset interval.
