How Do I switch to promiscuous mode?

How Do I switch my Wireless NIC to promiscuous mode?

I am using a RTL8180 based card with linuxant driverloader in Fedora.

Also does anyone know where I can find a comprhensive list of Terminal commands that I can use for reference?

Not sure about wireless NICs but for a normal NIC you can use /sbin/ifconfig
