How do I switch from Gnome to KDE?

I'm using Suse 10.1 and want to switch my desktop from Gnome to KDE. Is it easy? Is it possible?

Thanks

Although i haven't used Suse yet but hope the general idea will work.
First of all you need to have KDE packages installed. Hope you have them.

Many linux gives you the drop down menu box to select the window manager to work on. Isn't there on Suse ???
Another option is...go to console and type
#xwmconfig
and select the default window manager.

But i'm not sure this command runs on Suse or not. If it doesn't then there must be some other doing the same thing.

Okay, I addded the KDE repository from here:

http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_Ya...e_Repositories

I then looked in Yast and found the KDE package, but there's a few hundred files. I want to know which are the ones I need, I'm assuming I don't need all of them.

Thanks

Sorry man. Being not a user of Suse, i can't help you anymore.
post your new query in Suse forum.

there should be a general package called just kde, or something along those lines. This will give you kde and a whole host of kde applications like news, readers, email client etc.

If you just want the base ofkde then you want kdebase and its dependences.
