How do I switch desktops in Fedora 17 ?
 
Hi all,
I installed Fedora 17 for the first time yesterday and didn't like the default Gnome desktop and was wanting to know how do I switch to a different desktop environment such as XFCE or LXDE? The Fedora website provides a download for only one iso image only it seems.

Xfce4 : # yum groupinstall xfce

LXDE : # yum install lxdm lxde-common lxde-icon-theme

P.S. : # yum install lxdm lxde-common lxde-icon-theme

... will also install the 'openbox' Desktop environment.

All the new choices can be selected in your "Log in" menu.

yum groups install lxde
yum groups install xfce
