How do I stop the X server in RedHat 9 in order to load VGA drivers??
 
Hello everyone!!

I know this question probably sounds stupid to most of you..... and as you can tell I'm a complete beginner with Linux. At the moment I got RH 9 working with an old 1MB PCI ATI card I added because I couldn't get my AGP Nvidia card working. Now I downloaded the linux drivers for that card from "Leadtech" website but in order to install them I have to stop the X server.......how will I do that :confused:

ctl + alt + backspace

after you've done your deeds, startx will return you to x
