I wondered if one of the repositories were down or if there is a proxy problem?

The problem sure seems to be on the launchpad server.

As I stated in post #5, the parent (actually grandparent) directory listing shows the "i18n" directory but if you click on it the server returns a 404. All of the other directories in that listing are accessible.
