I got this:
2.4.21-99-athlon
I sorta figured the 2.4.21 is the kernel version (Im a real genius, eh? ;-)) what does the 99 stand for?

i imagine that the -99-athlon part is a version number or something.....for example my kernel = 2.4.22-6mdk. so i guess it's probably some type of version or identifier so it won't be confused with different distributions. that's the only thing i can think of......maybe somebody will come by and tell us what all those numbers mean

I read that the even kernel #'s are the fully tested kernels, and the odds aren't.......so why is mine odd?
