How do i set up svga for command line


I would like to set up svga in command so i could use things like seejpeg. I am using Mandrake 9.1 "right out that box" on a IBM thinkpad a22m.

svga? That's not what you mean i take it.... if you want to view images on a console you'll need to be running a framebuffer. check the framebuffer howto for details on setting your kernel to use it. but a mandrake base install will be running a framebuffer already... do you get a boot splash screen or the mandrake star / penguin logo when the system boots? if so that that's already done.
