how do I screenshot my desktop?

i know there is a utility for it in KDE, i have accidently hit the key(s) for it a couple times but cant spawn it myself. i generally run fluxbox so if there is a command such as windows ctrl+printscreen i would like to know that, but if someone could tell me the hotkeys for kde that will work also. thanks in advance!

On my notebook with opensuse and kde, the "Stamp" or printscreen key (without any other key) triggers Ksnapshot.

If you have ImageMagick installed, it is very easy to take a screenshot from the command line. Just use the following command:
Code:
> import -window root screenshot.jpg
This will save your screenshot in the screenshot.jpg file.
