How do I put my home folder icon on my desktop?

Hey folks!

OK, I got the text down, but I see a lot of screenshots of peoples desktops with some really cool home folder icons and my computer icons!

How do I put an icon of my home folder onto my desktop?

Thanks!

If you're using KDE or gnome, there's probably a setting in your control center.

What control center is that? The only thing that I have been able to do is create links.

OH, and BTW, I am using Gnome only.

You should be able to right click and add a launcher. Then select the launcher is a link, and put in /home/username as the location. Or if you want to make it a command, do nautilis ~
