How do I move root folder of website

I hope this is a good forum to ask this. I have purchased hosting a week ago and installed drupal. I put it in a folder called drupal in httpdocs folder. So people go to www.mydomain.com/drupal/index.php. I want them to be able to go to www.mydomain.com/index.php to see my drupal site.

How can I move this? I tried going to the conf folder but get accessed denied.

Here is a link to my site configuration:

Move the contents of the drupal folder to httpdocs instead. If your webhost doesn't have file management tools for you, re-ftp it to the host in the proper folder, and delete the copy in drupal.

if your host gives you jail shell it would prolly be easier that way.

cd /path/to/folder
mv * /home/yourusername/httpdocs/

Please keep in mind though. I am not sure with drupal but some cms (content management system) you will have to change your config.php or what ever your config file maybe and update the new directory. So if you find your site not working after moving your files check your config file and verify.

Also I would like to add is making your phpinfo public can be a security risk. It tell attackers all your php settings so don't leave that file up. If drupal is really secure script then it not nothing to worry about.

Good luck to you
