how do i mount my cdrom drive?

dist: suse 9.1 pro amd 64

brand new to linux. don't know what any of the terms mean yet. lots to learn. trying to install from a cd. instructions are "insert and mount your cdrom drive"
er.. how do i do this? i need an example to help figure it out. documentation doesn't give an example. if i right click my cd drive in konquerer and select "copy to" then "root folder" is that the same as mounting the drive?

thanks for any help.

mounting cdrom drive - no such file or directory

many thanks, v00d00101.

i think i have another problem, as when i open a root console and enter "mount /dev/cdrom" then " cd /mnt/cdrom" i get "no such file or directory, yet under my computer on the desktop, it shows both my cd write drive and my dvd drive.
