Question How do I make "startx" initiate upon boot up

I have a Dell Poweredge 1800 with Red Hat ES. After the system boots up it stops at a #, and waits for further instructions. I type startx and it will bring me to a window manager.
How do I make the system display the window manager automatically after it boots up? Does startx have to be placed in a particular file?

Thanks,
ngcddls

You need to set id:5:initdefault: in inittab file. The info is here http://www.cyberciti.biz/nixcraft/vi...run-levels.php
