How do I make gtkpod work with videos?

About a weekago, I asked how to use itunes on ubuntu and found out about gtkpod, which I downloaded onto my desk top. I have an ipod that holds videos and when I plugged it in gtkpod recognized my videos from my ipod and from limewire. I just bought a laptop and put ubuntu on it. I downloaded gtkpod and attempted to put my songs and videos from my ipod onto gtkpod like I had done before. it got all of my songs, but refuses to accept my movies, both from my ipod and from limewire. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Import of '/home/julie/LimeWire/Saved/iPod Movies - Mean Girls.mp4' failed: m4a/m4p/m4b not supported without the mp4v2 library. You must compile the gtkpod source together with the mp4v2 library.
The following track could not be processed (filetype is known but analysis failed): '/home/julie/LimeWire/Saved/iPod Movies - Mean Girls.mp4'

Is what it says when I try to do it...
