Cool how do i know if i have samba install?

I have redhat 7.1 and it's supposed to have samba automatically installed. How do I check to make sure it is installed?

thanks in advance

What kind of install did you install? If it is installed, you should find a smb.conf file in your /etc directory would be the quickest way to tell. If not you should also be able to install off the cd's supplied or you can download of course, www.samba.org

The smb.conf is there but I can't seem to find the samba directory. I assumed it's supposed to be in /usr/local but NADA.
I had to create the file inetd.conf myself. Isn't the file inetd.conf created automatically if samba was installed automatically by default from RedHat 6.1?

I'm picking up bits and pieces of knowledge here and there but I'm lost.

In Redhat 7.1, inetd turned into xinetd.
