How do I intall a .rpm after I download it?

normally just click on it (in Mandrake) a pop up will ask for your root password and then install it.

"rpm -Uvh <filename>.rpm" works, even if you are not upgrading any package (as the U stands for upgrade. Otherwise "rpm -ivh <filename>.rpm" ** note the commands are case sensitive so -t isnt tha same as -T.
