How do I install the Linux kernel source code??

I read in a book that the kernel source code is available at /usr/src/linux. But when I browsed to the directory, I found it empty. Where do I find it? Please help.

One more things to tell............
be habitual of using google before asking anything in forums.
people here are to help you and not to spoon feed anyone.
.....
all the masters/guru/senior members etc. learnt things there own.

regards
