How do I install a westell DSL modem.
 

Newbie is not the word for me. I have ventured into LINUX mandrake as I have been told it is more stable than...well what we all like looking out of...Would you kindly offer me some help for installing non - Linux applications into Mandrake - KDE. I can't even find where to start installing applications - Is there an application that I need to do this or does Mandrake have a default install application..Or possibly I can't run some window applications under LINUX. As you can see..more than a newbie..however we have all got to start somewhere... :-)):Pengy:

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
