how do I get program listed in KDE Multimedia, Slackware 13 - 37

I've got a program in /usr/local/bin/envy24control
I just installed it using .configure , make , make install
because there was no Slackware package for it.
envy24control does not show up under KDE Multimedia
where it should be, so I have to start a terminal program,
and start in on the command line.
How do I get /usr/local/bin/envy24control listed in
KDE Multimedia so I can use the mouse to start it ?

Try using the menu updating tool - under Settings on the menu.

If that doesn't work you can create a desktop shortcut to any program by right-clicking the desktop and choosing Create New -> Link to Application and entering the executable path /usr/local/bin/envy24control in the space for command under the Application tab.

Smile how do I get program listed in KDE Multimedia, Slackware 13 - 37

I tried my best, but in the end the best I could do was
put an icon on the desktop for envy24control. I could
not get it into the KDE Multimedia menu. But that's
OK. I can now start envy24control with the mouse and
that's good. What bothers me is that I can't remember
exactly how I did it. I clicked on everything and tried
every way, I can't remember what exactly worked.
But it's done. I'm happy. Thank you for your help!
