How do I get KDE to synchronize with my phone?

I am a Linux newbie with an Asus EEE 4G and a Samsung Tocco phone.

If you know the answer to this question, it may help to explain it as if I were an idiot. That way I may be able to do it.

I can't get the KDE PIM to sync with the phone. The phone says that USB is unavailable except for pictbridge when I plug it in.

I have found kitchensync is loaded onto the EEE, but it doesn't seem to be talking to either the phone or the PIM.

I'm sure it's simple for someone who knows what they're doing, but I don't.

Can anyone help??

Thanks

try installing kmobiletools from your pakage manager,

that tends to work with most mobiles

Problem loading kmobiletools

Thanks for that.

If I use apt-get install, it tells me that it is dependant on kdelibs4c2a which it isn't going to install.

If I use synaptic, it tells me that its going to remove a whole bunch of programs like amarok and some of the xandros packages.

The last time I tried this, I got into an F9 situation.

Have I done something silly with my preferences file or should I just go ahead and load it anyway?
