I dont know if Broadcom is supported in Linux, however there are ways around it with ndiswrapper driver.
Good luck to you.

I have installed Linux Mint 12 on my Acer Aspire One and I need help with the Network Wireless connection. The software ndiswrapper (Common and utils 1.9)are installed. What are the steps needed to get my internet connection functioning?

Thanks,

Broadcom should work, but it's often not out-of-the-box, because it uses proprietary drivers.

This link from the Mint forums should help: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=194&t=97728

as should this one from linuxwireless.com

http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43.

Try running lspci from a command line. That should report which Broadcom chip you have installed. Post the output here.
