How do I forward a mailbox /var/spool/mail/* file?

Hi,
On Ubuntu, my /etc/aliases file normally forwards all mail to my external email address user@example.com for example.

By mistake misconfigured /etc/aliases and it didn't work for a few days. Now I have hundreds of messages in /var/spool/mail/nobody
which I can witness with
Code:
mutt -f /var/spool/mail/nobody
How do I forward these onto another user or an external email again?

Can you mass forward emails in mutt? Or possibly use Thunderbird to open the account, and that might give you more possibilities to forward email.

Another possible option is to use a tool called imapsync http://freshmeat.net/projects/imapsync/

imapsync copies email from one account to another. You might be able to copy the email into your main account that way.
