How do I escape mysql RPM erase deadlock ??

Hi all,

I am running into some trouble in uninstalling mysql that came with my distro of RH9. After trying to unintall using the RH User Interface (which I believe uses RPM), I still found my mysql app to be installed, I then tried to uninstall using the rpm command from the prompts as shown below and I find that a co-dependecy of mysql with perl-DBD-MySQL does not permit that I can delete either app.

How do I deal with this ? How can I remove mysql from my PC ?

Thanks for your Help...

See below the command line inputs...

[root@localhost root]# rpm -e mysql
error: Failed dependencies:
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed) perl-DBD-MySQL-2.1021-3
[root@localhost root]# rpm -e perl-DBD-MySQL
error: Failed dependencies:
perl-DBD-MySQL is needed by (installed) mysql-3.23.54a-11
[root@localhost root]#
