How do i download from a websites link....OK I'm pitiful
I am trying to download a boot splash screen from KDE-Look.org, when I click on the download link, rather than seeing the download manager ticking away while saving the file I am switched to a Konqueror screen with this in the address bar
http://www.kde-look.org/content/file...-tuxwinv02.tgz and some file names and permission on the same screen. How do I save this file to my directory? |
try this at the console:
wget http://www.kde-look.org/content/file...-tuxwinv02.tgz <enter> you'll download the file. goodluck! |
u could use mozilla or firebird as they have a download manager
but when u click on a file in konqueror it should display a windows telling u either to save as or run |
you could right click on the link, and select the save as option. or alternately, do a wget, as suggested by mikage14.
