How do I create shortcuts?
I just installed the new FireFox, but I still haven't learned how to create shortcuts on the KDE start menu. Also, the only way I know of to start FireFox is to use the console to run "./firefox" from the FireFox folder. Is there another way?

sorry bro's for Santas and Skyline, since u two are mandrake user. mind if u two or one of u tell me where i can get the linux kernel header ? (not in mandrake club since i'm not member)
thanks |
what do you mean whit kernel header?
|
hmm i need it for modem driver, coz my modem not recognize by mandrake (so i dl manualy from smlink.com) in make file the readme tell i should include kernel directory ( in /urs/src/linuxkenel/) in my mandrake fresh install there is no linux kernel directory (donwload version). Or i can installed n run without a kernel source ?
|
The source is in the cds go to install pakcages and search one called kernel-source-xxxx where the xxxx means the number of your kernel and install it.
|
thanks bro, ill try it. Hope it works.
my kernel version is (using uname -r) 2.4.22-10mdk. so i should copy kernel-source-2.4.22-10mdk.rpm from the cd and extract it to /urs/src/2.4.22-10mdk is that right bro santas ? |
No, you only have to go to install packages and search for kernel-source-2.4.22-10mdk then install it, or you can install it from CD (you don't need to copy it anywhere) double click on the file then login as root and follow the instructions.
|
its automatically install to /usr/src/2.4.22-10mdk/ directory bro ? or to other directory ? can u mention me where mandrake install its kernel by default ?
coz i need to know where the /include in kernel direcotry to edit my makefile (from modem driver) |
yes the kernel source it's installed there
|
thanks bro. i still have other question but i think not wise to include thequestion here... i'll start a new thread :)
