Question How do I create an alias to a folder?


Hello in OS X I can create an alias to a folder. Or Shortcut as it's called in windows. Although an alias seems to be more bobust than a shortcut. How can I create an alias in linux?

You can create a symbolic link using ln, e.g.

ln -s foo/ bar

creates a link called "bar" to directory "foo". Read the man page for ln for more details.
