How do I change cursor sensitivity in Ubuntu 10.10

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 When my cursor hovers over an icon for not more than a second, if that, the folder opens; it's the same with links. I barely have to touch Firefox, and it comes up. I'd like to be able to click on a folder rather than just pass over it. Surely there must be a setting that can be change. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know the answers to those questions. But I solved the cursor problem by going into the "mouse" in systems and changing the sensitivity.

Thanks, Tink!
