Question How do I burn MandrakeMove?

I recently downloaded MandrakeMove 2 from MandrakeSoft and need some help with burning onto a bootable disc.

I am currently running WinXP and would like to play with MandrakeMove before I make the complete switch to Mandrake 10.

I attempted to burn the ISO but when I started up my machine Windows loaded and not MandrakeMove. I checked my BIOS and it's set to boot from the CD-ROM first so I know that's not the problem.

I use Nero 6 and all the FAQs and tutorials that I found on Google are for Nero 5 or lower.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nero 6 didn't come with its own FAQ?

I'd guess try File-->Burn Image, find the ISO next, etc, etc.

Otherwise try the Help option on Nero's tools tab

HI,

From the Nero GUI, click to Nero burning rom>burn>burn an image>choose your iso file (mandrakemovei586.iso)>burn

Same problem installing mandrake move

I also have the same problem.

But i burnt the iso to disk using nero and the CD still doesn't boot. Had a look at the files on the disk and they are all wierd names.

the disk burnt correctly and gave no errors.\

PS what is the diff between mandrake move and mandrake
?

Once the cd is burnt, you should see various files on your cd and not only one as with the .iso file.

Select cd rom as your first boot, and will be done.

Mandrakemove is very similar to Mandrake 9.2.

You don't have to install it on your hard disk, you can use it on several computers... you can even play music ( you will been asked to remove mandrakemove and to insert the cd )

Mandrakemove is not as complete as mandrake 9.2 ( no gui for rpm )... but is great to play with.
