reboot and check your BIOS options ("boot order" or similar).

i see only
SUSE sever 11
failsafe SUSE server 11
floppy

no dvd option

You would use bios to select the options for hard drive or dvd. When you see that menu, the hard drive has been booted. I doubt Suse 11 has the ability to use manual edits to grub and boot to dvd but it is possible. You'd have to temp edit one of those choices (maybe add new one) to then select the dvd. Not easy or good for that system.

i do not want that job
as it is i was already reprimanded by the mods ( i DID deserve it )

the old saying " my mouth is faster than my brain " the same goes for the fingers .
