how can we disable change 'desktop background option' / all alternatives for the same


Hi,

OS: ubuntu 12.04 and 10.10

Can we disable the change desktop background options or all the alternaives to achieve the same.My requiremnt it to the keep the default wallpaper we has been set should not get changed.

i found an option , editing the source file nautilus-desktop-icon-view.c. is there any other simple alternatives?

No, you can't. And editing that file is not likely to have ANY impact on the ability of folks to change their wallpaper, since you can also open up any image file with many graphics programs, and click "set as desktop wallpaper".

What part of "No, you can't", was unclear? AGAIN...you CANNOT DO THIS. Even if you DID manage to disable one option, you've got MANY others that do the same thing.
